Aga Khan Award for Architecture
This award recognises examples of architectural, landscaping and environmental excellence that achieve sensitivity to place, often using modest budgets. It encourages building concepts that address the needs and aspirations of societies in which Muslims have a significant presence. Particular attention is given to building schemes that use local resources and appropriate technology in an innovative way and which are likely to inspire similar efforts elsewhere.
