It was a warm night and I was taking the rubbish out barefoot. I didn't see the discarded piece of wood with a protruding nail.Back inside I discovered that the puncture wound to my foot was not too nasty but it was decades since I had an anti-tetanus injection so I drove to my local Accident and Emergency department.
