Who we work with

For us, designing a better Britain means working with a great many other people and organisations.

We work by connecting decision makers with the right design help to solve their problem. We might be helping them to build their own capability as users of design, or they might be helping us prove that design has a role in dealing with big national challenges. Either way, we couldn't do what we do without partners and designers.

Our partners

We work with scores of partners in the private and public sector to spread the word about design, put it to work and help businesses and designers to thrive. Our partners range from government departments, membership organisations and professional bodies to educational institutions, regional development agencies and think tanks.

Designers we work with

Designers are an integral part of what we do, as you might expect. They’re part of the Council which shapes our strategy, they help us provide support services to businesses and public services, they work with us to find new ways of solving national problems and they help us pioneer new ways of deploying design where it’s needed most.

How we work

We connect decision makers with the right design help to solve their problem. That might mean working directly with a business's top team, giving them the skills to spot how design can help them. It could mean advising an academic research team on how to commercialise their new technology. Or it could mean creating a new way for people in public services to work with designers and other experts to generate ideas rapidly and cheaply and make real progress in solving difficult national challenges.
