We are an agile organisation. We have national impact by working through a network of industry specialists, our design associates and built environment experts.
We’re governed by a board of trustees who guide strategy and, through our annual summits, forums and advisory boards, we develop our strategic direction.
As a Royal Charter charity, we work in the public interest, generating funds by charging for our advisory services, as well as from donations and grants.
Our expert team is led by an Executive Board.
Our values
Being design-led underpins everything that we do. We practice what we preach, championing design thinking and design in all of our activities.
We are principled. We are prepared to take a stand for what we believe, championing great design and campaigning for change when we feel something is wrong.
We cannot achieve our vision alone – we work in genuine partnership and collaboration with the sort of people and organisations who share our values and aspirations.
And, finally, we aim to do everything that we do in an agile and entrepreneurial way – our future is in our hands, and our hands alone.
Our measures of success
How do we know if we’re achieving our goal? Measuring our impact and effectiveness is an essential part of being charity and it’s also central to our ethos of being rigorous, constantly learning and always improving what we do.
