I am a chartered town planner with experience across both central and local government, the third and private sectors. I am Associate Director at Design Council Cabe where I lead on the forward programme of business development, influencing government at all levels, and shaping policy activity across all sectors. I am a member of the senior leadership team.

I spent four years as Head of Planning and Renewal in the Housing and Growth Directorate at the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) where I was responsible for the Housing Market Renewal and Growth programmes across England. I was responsible to Ministers for delivering these programmes and also led on cross cutting work into planning system reform.

Prior to working for DCLG, I was Planning Policy and Project Manager at the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) working on major projects with Arup, The Department for Health, the Disability Rights Commission and English Heritage. I previously worked in local government and have strong links and connections with local authorities across England, Whitehall and the planning and regeneration sector.

I sit on the Estates Gazette London Forum panel and am an Academician at the Academy of Urbanism. I sit on the Policy Council of the Town and Country Planning Association and the DCLG Housing Sounding Board and am a Founding Member of the International Garden Cities Institute.
