As Finance & Resources Director, Helen holds responsibility for finance, HR, facilities, planning and evaluation. Helen provides strategic lead on these areas, supporting the executive team and making sure the Design Council have appropriate ways of working with controls and management structures in place to protect the organisation by complying with legislation and best practice.
Before joining the Design Council, Helen trained as a scientist and gained her MSc before changing career direction. Helen is also a qualified management accountant and has worked in India, Japan and Australia.
