British Film Institute

The British Film Institute's mission is to develop greater understanding and appreciation of film, television and the moving image.

The Institute is responsible for developing the arts of cinema and television in the UK and conserving them in the national interest. It has two centres for showing films (the National Film Theatre and The BFI Imax), as well as an extensive archive, and offers a range of research and information services.
