Arc

Arc will to work with the community in Kingswood to raise awareness about the importance of good design, the localism bill and the responsibility of the community to shape their neighbourhoods. The project is aimed at encouraging the community to engage with the Area Action Plan (AAP) process and participate in the design review of the AAP.  Arc propose to use this programme to develop an adaptable toolkit for conducting public design review of planning documents (such as AAP and neighbourhood plans) involving the community.

Reviewing Schools for the Future

Arc are intending work with two school communities to use design review as a way of understanding and inputting into the design process for the development of their new school via the BSF programme.
Arc will deliver learning sessions with selected pupils from the two schools to raise their awareness and understanding of design quality and the different means of evaluating this. Pupils and staff will also have the chance to use the understanding they have acquired to feed their views into the design process for their own school campus by observing and contributing to design review sessions.
