Should government have a design strategy?
At the first of the new Design Council forums policymakers, designers and business leaders debated whether now would be a good time to develop a UK Design Strategy.
This is the first of the new Design Council Forums, following on from the Design Summit we held in June 2011. The idea behind the Forums is to provide a neutral space for those in design to discuss key issues of the day with other industries and policymakers in government. Whereas the Summits will be annual and at a larger scale, the Forums are more frequent with greater opportunity for debate.
