We're on the judging panel, helping to identify and recognise some of the best new homes across the country.

Grants

In 2011 Design Council Cabe distributed grants to support smaller organisations to work with the local community and support their aspiration for the design quality of developments in their area.

The Bishop Review

England needs a networked system of design support, providing local people with access to built environment expertise and advice, according to The Bishop Review.

 

Localism and planning

We aim to help community groups and local authorities improve the delivery of good quality design through the planning system. We do this by enabling, running workshops and providing toolkits and guidance.

We've welcomed Nahid Majid OBE as the Director of Design Council Cabe.

Her work urban regeneration as a professional urban designer and planner has led Nahid to work with high profile organisations including The Prince of Wales Foundation for The Built Environment, Turner and Townsend Construction Management, The Mayor's Fund and the Stephen Lawrence Centre in Deptford.
