Neighbourhood planning toolkits and guidance

We've created this web page to collect and share information about neighbourhood planning.

Cabe neighbourhood planning workshop in HackbridgeNeighbourhood plans are a way for local people to get together and set out a vision for their area, supported by their local authority.

There is an appetite for guidance for developing neighbourhood plans so we asked the Neighbourhood planning group on LinkedIn to share what already exists and what is being developed. We were inundated with suggestions which we have categorised loosely into seven types. We are collating and giving access to these tools but they are not Cabe endorsed.

If you would like to add to this list or you have feedback about how we might make the list more useful, please email nicola.mathers@designcouncil.org.uk. We keep this list updated regularly. We would like to receive evaluations of previous neighbourhood planning work from anybody with experiences, be they good or bad. If you would like to get involved in the discussion about these resources, or see what others have to say you can join the Neighbourhood planning group on LinkedIn.
