In partnership with Nominet Trust, we're running a competition to design, build and launch new digital products and services that help young people develop their talents and make a living.

The Independence Matters programme demonstrates how design-led solutions can enhance independent living and quality of life for older people.

The Keeping Connected Business Challenge is helping four teams develop great business ideas to help older adults feel more connected to their friends, families and the wider world.

The Design Council, Cornwall Council, University College Falmouth and Technology Strategy Board have partnered to deliver the Dott programme throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly during 2010.

Dott Cornwall is bringing together local communities and world-class designers to work on projects that improve how we live, work and play.

Dott 07 was the first Designs of the Time programme which ran in the North East in 2007. A year of community projects, events and exhibitions explored what life in a sustainable region could be like – and how design could help us get there.

Year 8 pupils from across Cornwall were given the opportunity to make parts of their school more sustainable by working with designers on the Eco Design Challenge. They calculated the size of their school's ecological footprint, then designed ways to make it smaller.

RED was set up in 2004 by the Design Council to tackle social and economic issues through design led innovation.
