Colum has spent the last 25 years working with public, private and third sector clients, from large multi-national organisations to small private consultancies. Colum has led several leading London design agencies and has held senior positions at Sainsbury’s and the NHS. His private clients have included the Royal College of General Practitioners, BACS, The Body Shop, Tesco, Virgin, Gatwick Airport, Pet World, Red & Yellow Care, The Kingwood Trust, Z-Card, Tropical Sky, Cherwell District Council.

Colum has worked on several programmes at the Design Council mentoring and coaching clients such as BBC, NHS, AGA Rayburn, Cabinet Office, Aquapac, Big Lottery, Brompton, King & Allen, MET Parking, Yoomi and The Churches Conservation Trust to name but a few.

Over the last decade Colum has built a reputation as a leading thinker and practitioner in the area of design management with a particular interest in action psychology and how the design of the physical environment impacts the decision-making process. He has previously worked with the Design Commission Public Services Inquiry Steering Group, a UK Governmental APPG, The European House of Design Management, provided executive training through Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art and is a frequent speaker at trade conferences and contributor to the trade press.

Colum holds an MBA and is a fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
