Gillian is an architect and partner of Penoyre & Prasad, a design-led practice recognised with many design and sustainability awards.  She is committed to the valuable contribution of research in design and in practice.  Gillian is very active in Design Review and an experienced chair. She is a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at the University of Reading, a ‘Wise Friend’ advisor to Urban Design London, a not-for-profit organisation that supports local authorities in creating well-designed places, and a regular external examiner and awards judge. 

Gillian is currently completing a funded doctoral research thesis on the schism between elite and popular taste.
