Kate has worked as a design strategist and design manager for over 20 years in both agency and client businesses. Having agency and client side experience has given her a passion for design, coupled with a clear understanding of the vital role design plays in business success. Speaking ‘both languages’ drives successful dialogue between those delivering and receiving a brief – facilitating the creation of effective design, born of in-depth customer insight and brand understanding.
Kate has worked predominantly with consumer brands in the UK and the USA, with her particular expertise being in food and UK retail. Kate was formerly head of Packaging Design for Sainsbury’s. Currently, as Director of her own consultancy, Kate still works with those on both sides of the design partnership – and has completed projects for clients as diverse as Procter & Gamble, McDonald’s, Weber Stephens, Britvic, Boxer, Decide, Brandhouse and jkr.
Her clients as a Design Council Design Associate have included Donatantonio, Original Travel, Secrett’s Farm Shop and Tom Smarte. Kate is also on the Design Business Association’s Experts Register.
