Laura draws on a combination of design research, service design and strategy and visual communication to help groups and organisations find creative solutions or communicate their ideas in simple and engaging ways.

She has led on the design and implementation of projects for a range of private and public sector organisations including: Policy Lab, Nesta, The Department of Health, NHS, European Commission, The Health Foundation and The African Centre for Cities.    

Her experience ranges from designing services, strategies, digital products, communications, exhibitions and experiences; or leading teams or groups to do so. She is particularly interested in using design approaches to support in addressing complex social challenges. Past work has covered topics ranging from health and wellbeing, policing, employment, cities in the global south and arts & heritage.    

Alongside working with Design Council, she works as an independent designer, is co-founder of studio and network AndGood, is an associate at various design agencies and organisations, and is part of Cityscapes, a collective aiming to amplify ideas on the future of cities from a global South perspective.
