As a Lead Advisor of the Cities Programme at Design Council, I provide design review, support and training for local authorities, developers, design teams and consultants through dedicated design advice programmes in the UK. This includes design advice on schemes such as developing new towns, tall buildings, housing, estate regeneration and public realm. I lead on client management, business development, project management and the design and delivery of advice programmes to the London Boroughs of Ealing and Redbridge, Oxford City Council, Homes England and Network Rail.
In Spring 2019 I will finish my PhD in Innovation Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art. As a speaker and curator, I have participated in numerous workshops, industry events and academic conferences. I have given talks on design for social innovation, urban technology design and low-carbon transition from London, Copenhagen, Paris and Brussels to Mexico City, Yinchuan and New York.
Before I joined Design Council, I worked as an innovation designer and design researcher in cross-disciplinary innovation labs and design studios across Europe and North America. These included: Umbrellium, the Future Cities Catapult, Superflux, PAN Studio, the Environmental Health Clinic and Lab (New York University) and Kitchen Budapest Innovation Lab.
