Thank you for your interest in applying to become a Design Associate. Applications have now closed.

The application will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and is divided into 4 sections:

  • General applicant information

  • Questions surrounding your design and leadership experience

  • Questions for you to rate your skills in the industry

  • A section to upload supporting documentation

Please note that as part of the supporting documents, we do require that you provide:

  • A 1-3 page digital portfolio demonstrating your work as a design leader

  • A link to a 1-2 minute video of you introducing yourself to Design Council

If you don't complete the app in one go, there's always the option to come back and complete it before clicking the submit button. You can click on the same link and pick back up where you last left off. Once the form has been submitted, you will be unable to make any edits.

The application deadline is Monday 10 February and all responses will be reviewed. We anticipate a large number of submissions and unfortunately, will not be in a position to provide feedback if you are not shortlisted. If you have not heard from us by Tuesday 25 February, then please consider your application unsuccessful on this occasion. If you are selected to proceed to the selection process, you’ll be asked to attend one of two workshops and, if successful, a further interview. Please ensure you are available on the following dates for the workshops and/or interviews which will be confirmed post-selection:
