Mohammad Hassannezhad
I am a design professional with over 13 years of experience in successful delivery of complex design projects to the world-leaders across five sectors, spanning agriculture (John Deere, Iran-Pump), automotive (Fiat Powertrain, CNH Industrial), aerospace (Rolls-Royce), telecom (Italian Telecom, British Telecom), and public health (Sheffield City Council, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, and Scottish Government).
My research makes a bridge between fundamental and applied aspects of design and is concerned with development of simple, pragmatic, and industry-independent solutions for understanding, predicting, and managing complex design systems, by deploying latest technologies and involving stakeholders actively in the process. This has afforded me several recognitions such as the UK Exceptional Talent in Engineering Design endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering, Emerging Future Leaders by the University of Cambridge, 2019 Editors’ Choice award from the prestigious ASME Journal of Mechanical Design, Distinguished Researcher at the Cambridge Engineering Design Centre, and most recently featured as ‘Inspirational Researcher’ by Council Leaders in Scottish Government.
I am currently helping senior policymakers at local, regional, and national levels of the UK government, where my pragmatic approach to inclusive and population-centred economy has been recognised as one of three game-changers in operation in central government.
