The Design in the Public Sector programme, delivered in partnership with the Local Government Association, supports public sector leaders to explore key challenges affecting their local communities and identify innovative opportunities to deliver positive and sustainable change.

Since November 2020 we have been working with 13 Local Authorities across England, taking a design approach to address a range of local climate challenges from low energy housing to mobility hubs and flood prevention.

This Final Showcase on Thursday 10th June 2021 is a celebration of the work achieved by these councils over the past 8 months, an opportunity to share learning across the sector and have a conversation about these exciting projects related to current climate issues.

You can read more about the projects, speakers and the Design Experts involved by clicking on the following links:

We welcome you to sign-up to more than one session!

The event will run from 10am to 2pm with three sessions exploring a variety of different projects in conversation with a Design Expert.

We hope you will be inspired by some of the innovative approaches and interventions developed by the teams on the programme. You’ll leave the event with practical insights and knowledge that can inform and enhance your work in similar areas.

For more information about Design in the Public Sector please visit the programme webpage where you can also register your interest for future cohorts.

This event is open to professionals working across the public sector and other organisations interested to learn from and connect with other local authorities working to achieve Net Zero.
