Design Council’s Executive Director, Sue Morgan, is to leave Design Council to join Better Bankside as Director of Place. Sue leaves an enormous legacy at Design Council, having overseen our work to create better and more resilient places, and provided strategic design guidance to clients on key issues such as health and wellbeing, sustainable living and future-proofing development.

Although Sue is moving to a new workplace, she will continue to work closely with the Design Council team, as she becomes a Design Council Ambassador as part of our newly appointed expert network.

Minnie Moll, Chief Executive at Design Council said: “I am thrilled for Sue. This is a dream role for her and she will, of course, be brilliant in it. She leaves a huge legacy at Design Council which we will continue to build on over the months and years ahead. Despite Sue’s new day job, she will continue to be part of the Design Council family by being a Design Council Ambassador. This is excellent news for us all.”

Sue Morgan, Executive Director at Design Council said: “Design Council does incredible work to make people’s lives better by design across the UK, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to have played my part in making that happen. While I’m now really looking forward to focusing on my new role at Better Bankside – an area which is really close to my heart – I’m equally delighted to continue my relationship with the team, as a Design Council Ambassador.”

Sue Morgan will take up her new role at Better Bankside in July 2021.
