An independent consultant with over 30 years’ experience; as well as a Chartered Landscape Architect.
I am a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Environmentalist and Member of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management. This degree of knowledge and experience helps me to communicate with a range of people. A multi-award winning Landscape Architect, I specialise in public realm design that balances people, place and movement functions.
I have worked on a very wide range of projects. As an Engineer I worked in Hydrological and Hydraulic Modelling for the Environment Agency where I recently returned working as a consultant Landscape Architect on flood defence schemes across the north.
An Expert on the High Street Task Force Register, I sit on the Landscape Institute Technical Committee where I have written technical notes on Inclusive Design, Pop-up Highway Infrastructure and Shared Space. I have recently been employed by the Institute as a Technical Author for the Competency Framework currently being produced.
I am writing the specialist competencies for: Masterplanning; Water Management; Landscape Engineering; and Public Realm Design. After, 15 years last year I left IBI Group where I had led a 9 strong team of Landscape Architects. IBI are a large, international, multi-disciplinary firm.
