Martin Enstone is the Financial Accountant and heads up a small team delivering Financial Accounting services to the Design Council. This includes Compliance, Audit, Tax, Credit Control and supplier issues. Put simply he ‘looks after the money’.
He spent the first ten years of his career in the financial services sector including with RBS amongst others, working in Accounting, IT, Risk and systems development. He left to pursue a career in the Charity not for profit sector helping various large national charities including Action for Children and Blind Veterans. He was the assistant financial controller at London School of Economics before joining Design Council.
He is a qualified accountant and a fellow of ACCA, has a Masters degree in applied statistics from UCL. Since joining he has helped with the charity’s challenges since becoming an independent charity including the merger with CABE and building a strong control environment.
In his own time, Martin is a keen swimmer and is a follower of Joe Wicks who helps people live healthy lives through exercise and good diet.
