Senior Programme Manager

Niamh Crawford is Senior Programme Manager at the Design Council, responsible for leading the delivery of Social Innovation programmes.

Before joining the Design Council, Niamh spent over ten years working within the luxury fashion sector, driving the commercial strategy for International Designers in both London and New York.

Having lived and worked in three continents, Niamh is particularly experienced in partnership management, product marketing and sustainable supply chain management. Her experience within a creative field has enabled her to partner with a number of dynamic organisations, with a focus on building brand equity whilst working towards a more circular economy.

With a particular interest in community mental health and well-being, Niamh most recently led six NHS locality teams from the Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire CCG through an intensive programme, exploring and directing ways in which user-centred design could support the development of integrated care. Currently, Niamh is working with DCMS and UKRI on the development of policy recommendations and insight for the Creative Sector Vision, with a focus on maximising economic spillover value.

With her treasured spare time, Niamh spends time hiking, traveling, and exhausting her love for film, music and theatre.
