Senior Programme Manager
Sabina Mohideen is a Senior Programme Manager, in which role she runs a wide range of Design Council’s projects and programmes, supporting a range of clients from local authorities to national infrastructure providers to achieve design excellence. Having led the restructure and refresh of Design Council’s place expert network, she manages the community and works with colleagues to deliver its activities.
Sabina’s background is in promoting and managing national and international events, awards programmes and built environment competitions. Within her work, Sabina is committed to ensuring considerations of equity, diversity and inclusion are integral to the process. She set up the Landscape Institute’s EDI Group and has contributed to Design Council’s initiatives and commitments to EDI within the organisation and delivery of its work.
Sabina has a particular love for theatre and has twice been on the judging panel for the Olivier Awards. For ten years she served as a trustee for Tonic Theatre, which advocates for and supports the performing arts sector to achieve greater equality, diversity and inclusion. She is fascinated by the power of pop culture and the media to shape our realities and her reading and listening habits frequently focus on this topic.
