Design boosts the UK economy by helping businesses to grow. For example, design can help established businesses to diversify, enter new markets and grow a share of existing markets.

Design-led innovation has also been proven to reduce risk, maximise value and attract investment - pillars of a successful economic model. Design is also proven to increase export and get the UK's scientific discoveries to market.

Over the last ten years, Design Council has worked with more than 4,000 businesses including British Airways, Thames Water and AGA.
