Design Council Cabe has completed the recruitment of 150 additional Built Environment Experts (BEEs), creating a network of 400 design experts, the largest and most skilled group of its kind in the country. The BEEs will work closely with Design Council Cabe to champion design in the built environment.

Clare Devine, Director of Design Council Cabe, said: “We have been laying the foundations for our future, building on what we do best, refining and developing new services, expanding our skills set and building relationships to deliver our programmes. To support this, we have expanded our BEE network both in its geographical spread and range of disciplines and skills.”

Design Council Cabe’s BEEs come from a diverse range of professional backgrounds, and include planners, landscape architects, architects, urban designers, engineers, public health professionals, community engagement and data specialists.

Devine continued: “This network has an unprecedented breadth of expertise, with specialists in public health, inclusion, SMART and culture, joining experts in planning and built environment. We will harness our collective independent expert advice to instigate and foster innovative thinking, providing advice and support to effect transformational change across all aspects of the built environment.”

Together, Design Council Cabe and its network of BEEs will provide independent expert advice and promote and support well designed buildings, spaces and places that improve everyone’s quality of life.

Here is a full list of our new BEEs. A catalogue with full profiles will be available to download from this website in January. You can view the biographies of our longer-serving BEEs here.
