AXA PPP healthcare has confirmed the ten winners of MedTechSouthEast will be automatically entered into the Health Tech and You Awards 2016. This year, AXA has designated a special, exclusive category for MedTechSouthEast finalists called The Independent Living Award.

The initiative aims to recognise, celebrate and showcase the best in personal health technology innovations. This fantastic opportunity will mean the winners benefit from added exposure of the international awards programme, as well as the combined support, mentoring and expertise offered by Design Council and MedCity, and direct links to businesses and venture capitalists.

MedTechSouthEast has been designed to identify and develop the next generation of medical product innovations for assisted living. Entries must be submitted online by midday, Friday 23 October.

Entries will then be judged by our team of experts, and finalists will be invited to pitch their product ideas directly to the Selection Panel at a special event in London on the evening of Thursday 10 November.

Do you have a medical innovation which could help people live more independently in their own homes?

Our Selection Panel, made up of clinicians and designers, is looking for ventures with revolutionary product ideas which enable people of all ages to manage medical conditions while living independently and maintaining quality of life.

Download our application guide for more information about what our Selection Panel will be looking for in the perfect application, step-by-step instructions and full entry criteria.

If you have further questions about MedTechSouthEast, contact Design Council’s Communications Manager Chris Finnegan.
