Hiro is an award-winning specialist in the initiation, conceptualisation, design management, and delivery of complex regenerative infrastructure estate development. His passion is the inclusive growth of our built environment.

Since supporting the iconic Jubilee Line Extension in London in the 1990s, he has played a major role in the high-profile transformation of transport infrastructure estates, including as Lead Architect for the multi-award-winning redevelopment programme of London King’s Cross Station for Network Rail, the realisation of the new Bond Street Station in the heart of London’s West End for the Elizabeth Line, and the masterplan for Leeds Station adopted within the City’s policies.

Hiro has served as London Mayor’s Design Advocate in recognition of his integrated design delivery expertise. He was also a member of the UK government-funded HS2 Design Panel. He has served as Leeds Inclusive Growth Ambassador to work closely with the city leadership on the ambitious agenda to double the city core. In 2023, he was elected to the Advisory Panel of the Railway Heritage Trust to assist in the preservation and upkeep of listed buildings and structures in the UK. He has been an Associate of the Design Council, re-appointed as Design Expert in 2024. Hiro has held director roles in high-profile international design practices. He is currently a director at Jacobs based in London.
