Funding
We are an independent charity and the UK’s national advisors on design. Our income is derived from a combination of grants, partnerships and commissioned, paid-for services.
A key element of our activities is a grant programme we deliver for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). This grant is to make the case and grow the market for design in areas of the economy where it is underused. We do this by building the evidence base about the value and impact of design and using our national remit to provide knowledge and insight on design from across the country. For full details of our accounts, please see our annual reports above.
