Ishbel Allotey
HR Manager
Ishbel is our HR Manager who is leading and driving the people agenda at Design Council.
With over 10 years' experience in HR from various industries, Ishbel brings a fresh perspective on people management and focussing on how HR can enhance productivity with an organisation.
She holds a Postgraduate Degree in Personnel and Development and BSc in Business Studies. She plays an instrumental role in people management to drive performance, encourage development and help guide managers through employee relations issues and mentor other HR professional to consolidate efforts and maintain consistency with HR strategy implementation. Such projects have seen her implement a new HR software to centralise personal data and streamline our internal recruitment and appraisal processes.
In her free time, Ishbel is kept busy with her daughter and when she has free time for herself, enjoys going to the theatre and socialising with friends.
