Head of Partnerships
An urban planner by training, Hilary has 15 years’ experience working in the design sector in a variety of organisations from Local Authorities, design studios to universities and in a variety of different roles, including practice, strategy, project management and consultancy.
Before joining Design Council, Hilary worked at UCL, overseeing the Bartlett Faculty’s consultancy remit, building and managing their consultancy portfolio. She has managed a varied range of programmes from cultural regeneration and exhibitions and from academic research to masterplans.
Hilary holds a MSc. in Spatial Planning from the Bartlett, UCL, and a BSc. in Social and Public Policy from the University of Bristol.
As Head of Partnerships, Hilary leads the Partnerships team, forming strategic partnerships, securing new work and ensuring its smooth transition into project delivery.
When not working, Hilary enjoys cold sea swims, long bike rides and exploring the West Country with her young family.
