Sarah Booth

Director of Impact

Sarah is Director of Impact at the Design Council where she leads the Impact team in delivering the projects and design reviews that act as beacons for the value of design and its potential to accelerate us into a regenerative economy.

Sarah has spent 17 years as a Strategic Director and Consultant, specialising in human centric solutions. She has worked at world leading creative agencies and in leadership for UK businesses, including ASOS and OVO. She has a track record of creating transformative strategies and, latterly, has developed a specialism in aligning organisations’ sustainability roadmaps with broader organisational objectives.

Her work at OVO supported the embedding of the sustainability strategy (Plan Zero) into the core of the organisation and during her time there, OVO was named Business Green’s Company of the Decade.

Sarah has an MSc in Evolutionary Psychology and recently completed the Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership’s certificate in Sustainable Business Leadership, she is co-founder of sustainable brand and marketing consultancy, Pivotal Consulting and of the1Cap, the world's first machine washable structured baseball cap. In 2020, Campaign Magazine recognised Sarah as one of 10 sustainability trailblazers in their Power 100.

In her spare time, she can be found experimenting in the kitchen or zooming across a field on a horse.
