Carra Santos

Carra combines twenty years in creativity and design - from internationally-acclaimed product innovation to highly-prescient future concepts for world-class events - with a master's degree in Sustainable Development in Practice.

She promotes an ever-deepening knowledge of what’s needed in the real world, by researching the social, environmental and economic environment in which we design, and developing the connections in context.

In particular, she explores how transformative habits, attitudes, practices and behaviours can be inspired and enabled by effective design. This offers an uplifting and robust perspective on the sustainable futures transition, blending academic and industry insights with the creative energy to connect unexpected dots.

Alongside her research and consultancy, Carra is a Doughnut Economics educator and advisor, and a fellow of the RSA. Her contribution to the forthcoming book ‘Accelerating Sustainability in Fashion, Clothing & Apparel’ will be published by Routledge in 2023.
